Black History Month
Orphans Africa (OA) is a 501 (c) 3 tax-exempt charitable organization that began in 2007 with the coming together of three ordinary people whose desire was to build peace between nations by providing assistance to those who are most vulnerable.
February is Black History Month in the US, Canada and the UK. It is the month in which Abraham Lincoln and Frederick Douglas were born, also. This month is to recognize important people and events in the African diaspora. We all know the reason for the diaspora of the past – slavery. The world has not been kind to Africa. Orphans Africa honors these people of our world. As we work with Africa’s orphan children, I am reminded that we are one world and we are all people. Join with Orphans Africa today to make the world a better place for all of us.
