Text Box: Mwaji Secondary School

The leaders who began the Mwaji school project have submitted a proposal to OA which includes the construction of a new secondary school. This school will have a concrete floor. It will have mud-brick walls, hand-made and constructed by the community and mortared with concrete provided by OA. The school will have a tin-roof that will last for twenty years. It is our hope to also be able to provide them with books, school supplies, and salaries for the teachers.

We will also begin working on more permanent lavatories for the students who currently must use a hole in the ground. Plans also include digging a well on school grounds.

It is OA’s hope that someday we will be able to build dormitories, a home on the grounds for the headmaster, additional classrooms, and more.
