Roda Lukunga works in coordination with the Headmaster at the Mwaji Secondary School, and is always ready to welcome and help volunteers who arrive. Roda herself is a volunteer, and has been a key member of one of OA's partner NGOs, a grassroots organization.

In 2014, Roda met the U.S. Ambassador to Tanzania at the U.S. Embassy, where she received three days of training on how to manage a $30,000 grant that Orphans Africa helped the NGO secure. This grant was allocated specifically for helping to build the kitchen and dining hall at the high school. Today, the kitchen and dining hall serve three meals a day to the resident students, and one meal per day to non-resident students. Job well done, Roda!
