OA has three nursery schools, teaching over 130 children ages 3 to 6. Overall, we’re cheered by the excitement these young ones display—singing, dancing, counting, and so much more. Unlike other nursery schools, OA schools teach children to read and write so that by the time they enter primary school, they’ve already built a firm, educational foundation.
The Mbozi school campus is in downtown Vwawa, with approximately 80 students, both orphans and non-orphans. There are toilets and a fresh water source, plus water tower. The school is so popular in town, that a new classroom needs to be built in the future in order to divide the children between beginners and advanced. They also need playground equipment. Overall, the children are happy, curious, and playful—just like kids anywhere.
